Many people underestimate the value of a good travel equipment. Being prepared for every situation can make your experience much more comfortable, especially when it comes to long journeys. In this article I am going to tell you how my tablet case made my trip around China.
Whoever has lived in China for a while, know very well that Chinese public transports are always packed with people: not only the subway but intercity trains too. This is especially true for national holidays: there are not many vacation days in China; hence people tend to travel all at the same time during the holidays.
Last year my friends and I decided to go to Yunnan during the Golden Week, one of the longest holidays in China. Although we booked in advance, most of the trains were already sold out. There were some first class seats available, but we were on a budget. So we ended up booking a 40h ride on a slow train, to save money. Of course, since it was such a long journey we needed to book the beds as well; but being on a budget, we chose the very uncomfortable ones, basically without a mattress.
Always prepare proper travel equipment
There is not much to do on a train for 40h, especially without an internet connection, but I was prepared: I had downloaded some TV series on my iPad pro, to kill some time. As I have already mentioned our compartment was very small and the beds were uncomfortable, so I was concerned that staring at a screen for a long time would give me a stiff neck or muscular pain. The o ly reason why this did not happen is that I had prepared my travel equipment in advance: with my multifunctional iPad case, I have been able to adjust my iPad's position so that I could lie and watch the screen in all comfort and maintaining a healthy posture.
The importance of maintaining a healthy posture
This is an aspect that is often neglected by people, although it can make the difference in your trips. There are many ways in which we can travel in comfort without exceeding a budget. It is important to take care of our bodies' needs: eat enough, don't walk too much, and mind to have a good rest. When you want to chill for a bit watching a movie, it is going to do you no good if you crashed in some weird position: your muscles are going to be affected by that. And trust me, these things can make a huge difference, especially if you are planning to go on a long city tour or walk all day.
So here is my suggestion: it is worth to spend a bit more money and attention on our travel equipment, and it is important to listen to our bodies' needs. Being at your best while traveling can upgrade your experience, start with taking care of your posture and you will see the benefits yourself!
